Dec 24 @ 12:00 pm – 2:30 pm
Sunday Feast Programme @ ISKCON Wellington Temple | Wellington | Wellington | New Zealand

Come join us every Sunday for the Love Feast. No one leaves hungry for a taste of the Divine!

In the Bhagavad-Gita – one of the world’s oldest spiritual texts – it is said : “This knowledge is the king of education, the most secret of all secrets. It is the purest knowledge, and because it gives direct perception of the self by realization, it is the perfection of spirituality. It is ever increasingly blissful, and joyfully performed.

As we gather, we are led in universal prayers to the temple deities, then hear a talk.  What follows is an ecstatic call-and-response chant of Hare Krishna mantra, which may spontaneously include blissful dancing to the chant.  After closing prayers, we continue for a delicious Indian-style feast and conversation.

Sunday Feast Programme:

12 to 12.30pm –  Kirtan (Congregational chanting of Vaishnava Hymns & Songs)
12.30pm to 1.00pm – Arati (offerings to The Deities)
1pm to 1.45pm – Lecture (discourse on spiritual topics from Vaishnava scriptures)
1.45pm to 2pm – Mantra Meditation, chanting the Holy Name on beads (japa-mala)
2pm – Lunch (prasadam)
